Environmental Dimension
Línea Directa Aseguradora’s direct business model, together with a centralised office network, provides a more efficient operational base with a lower environmental impact, placing the Group in a position of advantage compared to other entities in the sector. This structure, combined with the nature of the insurance business, enables progress towards an orderly transition to a low‑carbon economy.
The Group contributes to the fight against climate change and to sustainable transformation as a relevant player in the insurance and institutional investment fields, integrating ESG criteria into its processes, products and services.
Línea Directa seeks to meet the expectations of its stakeholders through the responsible management of its operations and value chain, as well as by incorporating investments aligned with sustainability principles.
Three major areas of action stand out within this dimension:
Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptatio
The company promotes actions to reduce its environmental impact, progressing in the calculation and updating of its carbon footprint across all scopes and strengthening its resilience to climate-related risks.
Environmental Efficiency and circular economy
The centralised operating model and the drive towards digitalisation make it possible to improve the Group’s environmental efficiency and to promote responsible practices in resource consumption and waste management.
Línea Directa promotes the efficient management of resources through the reduction of consumption, the self-generation of renewable energy and the systematisation of waste treatment. Through these initiatives, the Group contributes to the transition towards a zero-waste economy.
Línea Directa has received funding from the European Union under the NextGenerationEU Fund, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, for a grid-connected photovoltaic self-consumption installation with surplus capacity of 229 kWp, involving a total investment of €361,421.03 and a granted subsidy of €43,483.93. This support forms part of the incentive programme linked to self-consumption and storage using renewable energy sources, as well as the implementation of renewable thermal systems in the residential sector, regulated by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and managed by IDAE.
In 2025, self-generated electricity represented 18.7% of Línea Directa Aseguradora’s total electricity consumption for the year, avoiding 143.3 tonnes of CO₂ emission.
Sustainable Mobiity
Línea Directa Aseguradora promotes insurance solutions and content that encourage responsible behaviour on the road and support the transition towards mobility models with lower emissions.
Climate change roadmap
The company has a climate strategy aligned with the recommendations of the TCFD and has defined a decarbonisation plan in line with the Paris Agreement, ensuring a reduction of more than 42% in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.
