Purpose

Línea Directa will process the data of data subjects (identification and contact details) who are Shareholders/Investors, their representatives, and any other individuals who contact Línea Directa Aseguradora, for the following purposes:

  1. The execution, management, and maintenance of the relationship with the Shareholder/Investor in accordance with their request;
  2. The fulfilment and monitoring of the relationship established with the Shareholder/Investor, including the exercise of Shareholder/Investor rights, the organisation and holding of Línea Directa’s General Shareholders’ Meeting, or the communication of personal data to public or private entities to which Línea Directa is legally required to disclose such information;
  3. The distribution of the Shareholder Newsletter, information about events to which the individual has subscribed, and the management of any services specified in the request;
  4. In addition, Línea Directa will process the contact details provided by subscribers to the newsletter covering current insurance-related news in order to deliver such newsletter. Subscribers may object to this processing at any time through the link included in the newsletters received.

Legal Basis

  1. For the execution, management and maintenance of the relationship with the Shareholder/Investor in accordance with their request: the legal basis is the performance of the relationship between Línea Directa and the Shareholder/Investor;
  2. For the fulfilment and monitoring of the relationship established with the Shareholder/Investor, including the exercise of Shareholder/Investor rights, the organisation and holding of Línea Directa’s General Shareholders’ Meeting, or the disclosure of personal data to public or private entities where required by law: the legal basis is compliance with the legal obligations applicable to a public limited company;
  3. For sending the Shareholder Newsletter, information relating to events to which the individual has subscribed, and managing services requested by the individual: the legal basis is your consent, where you have requested receipt of the Shareholder Newsletter, subscribed to information on events, or requested information;
  4. For sending the newsletter containing current insurance-related news: the legal basis is your consent, where you have subscribed to the newsletter by providing your email address.

Data Disclosure

Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties except where there is a legal obligation to do so.

Your Rights

You may access, rectify, erase your data, request data portability, and exercise any other rights provided by applicable legislation, under the conditions and scope established by such legislation at any given time, by contacting privacidad@lineadirectaaseguradora.com or by contacting the Data Controller indicated above directly. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Spain, this authority is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos), without prejudice to the powers that may correspond to other regional or supranational authorities under the Data Protection Regulation and applicable national legislation.

If you are a newsletter subscriber, you may unsubscribe and object to the processing of your data for this purpose through the link included in the newsletters received.

Retention Period. How long will we keep your data?

The personal data you provide will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. Subsequently, the data will be duly blocked. Such blocking means that your data will only be available to Public Authorities, Courts and Tribunals for the purpose of addressing any liabilities arising from the processing, for the duration of the applicable limitation periods. Once these periods have expired, your data will be deleted.
