  • Through this commercial agreement with one of Spain’s leading second-hand motorcycle marketplaces, Línea Directa Aseguradora strengthens its leadership in the two‑wheel market, where it holds a 14% market share.

Madrid, 15 April 2026. Línea Directa Aseguradora has reached a collaboration agreement with Cuimo to make motorcycle insurance easier for customers of the leading Spanish startup in the second-hand motorcycle marketplace. Thanks to this commercial alliance, customers who purchase a motorcycle through Cuimo will be able to take out a Línea Directa policy at the same time, in a fast and simple way, streamlining the entire process of acquiring a two‑wheel vehicle.

At the time of purchasing their motorcycle, customers will receive a personalised insurance quote from Línea Directa, which stands out for the breadth of its coverage, the quality of its service and its competitive pricing. In fact, it is one of the highest-rated motorcycle insurance products on the market, according to an annual study by independent consultancy Inteliens, which analyses and compares the completeness of motorcycle policies based on coverage and services.

Línea Directa’s insurance, available for all types of motorcycles (mopeds, scooters, off-road, supermotard, sport, naked, custom, trail and touring bikes), includes mandatory third-party liability cover, with limits of up to €85 million for personal injury and property damage, extensive voluntary third-party liability cover of up to €50 million, legal defence, claims management and comprehensive roadside assistance. In addition, policyholders can add optional cover such as medical assistance, replacement vehicle in the event of an accident, traffic fine management, helmet and technical gear cover, and key replacement in case of loss, among many others.

Cuimo, which currently has more than 1,500 motorcycles in stock, all thoroughly inspected through more than 90 checkpoints, offers a carefully designed online and offline purchasing experience. Through its website, users can access clear, complete and transparent information about each vehicle, complete the purchase online and have the motorcycle delivered to their home, along with a certificate detailing its condition following the rigorous inspection process and a comprehensive warranty of up to three years.

With annual sales exceeding 6,000 units in 2025—80% of them through digital channels—the startup complements its strong digital presence with two dealerships located in Madrid and Valencia.

Through this alliance, in which both brands offer customers a comprehensive vehicle and insurance solution at the same time, Línea Directa, one of the leading motorcycle insurers with a 14% market share, strengthens and boosts its activity in a key segment of the market.

The two‑wheel sector, and particularly the second‑hand market, is showing a very positive trend. In 2025, nearly 769,000 motorcycles were sold in Spain, representing a 6.3% increase compared to 2024. Of these, 65.5%—more than 503,000 units—were second-hand. In other words, for every new motorcycle sold, almost two used motorcycles were traded.

“This collaboration between two benchmark brands in the motorcycle segment allows us to offer customers the best possible purchasing experience by providing a complete, direct and simple solution that makes buying a motorcycle easier. We are very satisfied with this alliance, which expands our reach in a growing market where we hold a leading position, and forms part of our strategy of partnering with top‑tier companies to build differentiated value propositions that deliver real value to customers,” said Diego Ferreiro, Commercial Director of Línea Directa Aseguradora.

“This is a strategic agreement for Cuimo, marking the beginning of a shared journey with a company that shares our vision of the motorcycle market: maximum quality and the best possible customer experience. The fact that an insurer like Línea Directa, with a distinctive focus on the world of motorcycles, has chosen to partner with Cuimo is a strong sign that we are doing things right and encourages us to keep raising the bar in our sector,” said Alejandro de la Hoz, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Cuimo.
