
Komobi wins the XI edition of the Entrepreneurs and Road Safety Award by Fundación Línea Directa.
- KOMOBI is an eCall device for motorcycles developed by the Seville-based startup Livelink Ventures. It detects any accident within seconds, automatically notifying emergency services and sending the exact location of the accident victim to reduce response time and improve the quality of care received by the injured.
- With this competition, which has more than a decade of history, Línea Directa Foundation aims to promote entrepreneurship in road safety and sustainable mobility by supporting and financing innovative ideas that help combat road accidents.
- The winner of the competition, chosen from among 63 candidates, will receive a prize of €20,000 net, without any strings attached or co-investment, as well as training, mentoring, and the possibility of accessing investment rounds.
- The jury, composed of prestigious professionals from the business world, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the administration, prioritized criteria such as effectiveness in improving road safety, the economic viability of the project, sustainable mobility, and the degree of innovation the project brings.
- Innovation & Safety (E-rescue) was the second highest-rated startup. This Madrid-based startup has developed a post-accident safety system that turns bus seats into "lifesaving seats" to facilitate the rescue of accident victims. E-Rescue includes a seat anchoring and unanchoring mechanism, an immobilization harness, and a cervical collar.
Madrid, 25 April 2025. The startup Live Link Ventures with its KOMOBI device wins the XI edition of the Entrepreneurs, Road Safety, and Sustainable Mobility Award by Línea Directa Foundation. KOMOBI is an eCall device for motorcycles that detects any accident within seconds, automatically notifying emergency services and sending the exact location of the accident victim to reduce response time and improve the quality of care received by the injured.
With this competition, which already has more than a decade of history, Línea Directa Foundation aims to promote entrepreneurship in road safety and sustainable mobility by supporting and financing innovative ideas that help combat road accidents, improve victim care, promote road safety, and create more rational, balanced, and environmentally friendly transportation models.
KOMOBI will receive a prize of €20,000 net without any strings attached or co-investment, as well as access to training and mentoring. In a later phase, it will also have the possibility of accessing financing rounds from Fundación Innovación Bankinter and IESE Business School.
The second recognized startup in this edition was Innovation & Safety (E-rescue). This Madrid-based company has developed a post-accident safety system that turns bus seats into "lifesaving seats" to facilitate the rescue of accident victims. Thanks to this recognition, Innovation & Safety (E-rescue) will participate, along with the winning startup, in the next edition of South Summit, the leading event of the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem, which will be held from June 4 to 6 in Madrid.
The other three entrepreneurs who were finalists in the competition were:
- Netun Solutions (Pontevedra). Netun Solutions has developed Incidence, a platform compatible with IoT devices that allows real-time location of events and elements that could be potential risks on the road. The platform communicates with the Incidence App and insurance applications, opening the door to the digitization and automation of the assistance service.
- Aguia Analítica Avanzada (A Coruña). This company conducts large-scale road inspections using drones, guaranteeing 100% usable results thanks to its Smart Pavement Analytics technology.
- Interlight SP (Córdoba). This startup has developed an innovative Artificial Intelligence application that, installed in traffic lights, facilitates pedestrian crossing for people with reduced mobility and vulnerable users by adjusting the crossing time for them.
The five finalist startups of this eleventh edition of the awards presented their proposals in an elevator pitch format before a jury composed of eight prestigious professionals from the entrepreneurial ecosystem, business, and administration, who chose the winner based on criteria such as effectiveness in improving road safety, the economic viability of the project, sustainable mobility, or the degree of innovation the project brings.

Previous winners
In the last edition (2024), the Catalan startup Biel Glasses won with the development of smart glasses to ensure the safe mobility of people with low vision: combining AI and robotics to detect potential risks in their movements and mixed reality to indicate them in an accessible way. In 2023, another Catalan company, Engidi, won the award for developing electronic devices that integrate into personal protective equipment to improve the safety of workers in high-risk environments, especially aimed at construction workers and road maintenance, with the goal of preventing accidents and run-overs. In 2022, the winning project was Livall Europe, smart helmets for scooters and bicycles with LED lighting to indicate direction changes, speakers embedded in the chassis, windproof microphone, and Bluetooth. In previous years, the first prize was awarded to: Evix (2021), a cervical airbag system integrated into bicycle helmets and extendable to other types of road users; Trucksters (2020), for its innovative road freight transport system based on AI and Big Data that saves up to 50% of delivery times; Textia Innovative Solutions (2019), a Child Restraint System (CRS) manufactured with innovative 'Varstiff' technology; Closca Design (2018), for creating a bicycle helmet that reduced its volume by 50% to promote its use in urban areas; Help Flash (2017), for its luminous device to avoid run-overs with immediate vehicle signaling in case of breakdown or accident; DriveSmart (2016), an app that analyzes and evaluates each driver's behavior to provide personalized advice for greater safety, and Euraslog (2015), thanks to an innovative child restraint system for bus seats.
